Harvest day for Solly's league clubs

THOHOYANDOU – Next Monday, September 16, will be the harvest day for clubs that were affiliated to the Solly's League during the past season. The prize giving ceremony will be held at the Bergwater Hotel in Louis Trichardt starting at 19:00.

The overall winners, Mphambo Kill Them All, will receive a cash prize of R10 000 and a trophy. An amount of R7 000 is awaiting the club that has obtained the second place in the champ of champs round robin matches, Rhungulani All Stars.

The next three clubs will receive cash prizes ranging from R6 000 down to R5 000. Five teams, Mphambo Kill Them All, Vhulaudzi Rampama, Avhkhom Hotel Football Club, Rhungulani All Stars and Tshimbupfe Disco Stars were engaged in the round robin matches during the past weeks.

The five teams have finished their last season league programmes on top of their respective streams. Teams that have obtained the second places in their respective streams will each receive an amount of R3 500. The third, fourth and fifth teams will take home cash prizes ranging from R3 000 to R1 700.

The last nine teams in each stream will receive a consolation prize of R1000. A total amount of R139 500 will be dished out to the clubs during the ceremony.
