Ramantsha through to Vhuthihi final

Sport  Date: 21 September 2012

Ramantsha FC proceeded to the final of the Vhuthihi Soccer Tournament, after they beat Madombidzha Celtics 5-3 on Sunday.

The match was played at Madombidzha and the winner was determined through a penalty shoot-out.

Celtics were the superior side from the onset as far as possession of the ball was concerned. This resulted in their putting more pressure on the defence of Ramantsha for most of the match.

The second half was characterised by dangerous play from the home team's players. In an attempt to calm the situation, the referee flashed some yellow cards in quick succession. Sipho Mundalana and Silas Rammbona for Celtics were booked for dirty tricks and dangerous play.

Ronald Ramaligela of Ramantsha could not make the grade, as the opponents used him as their freeway and the technical staff replaced him with Mathomola Letswalo. If a soccer match could be won through the number of scoring chances a team creates, Celtic would have won the match convincingly. Their strikers wasted many opportunities to win the match.

Lufuno Mudonde was replaced by Euclaid Kobouana, but this did not have any influence on the outcome of the match.
