NjakaNjaka FC were crowned champions of the African Hardware Competition, when they beat Tshikhwani Stone Breakers 3-0 in the final, played at the Makhado show grounds on Saturday.
Breakers looked weary from the onset and never made any threatening moves. Their frontrunner, Aubrey Hamisi, was cautioned for obstruction on Tivani Mthombeni in the 14th minute.
NjakaNjaka found the net in the 20th minute. Lufuno Munyai beat the offside trap and ran a few steps towards the goal, before unleashing a powerful shot that saw the opponent's keeper, John Raphulu, moving in the opposite direction. Innocent Mhlanga of Breakers was cautioned for intentional handling of the ball.
NjakaNjaka went 2-0 up before half time. Munyai complete his brace and scored the second goal. He received a square pass from Matimba Makhubele and blasted in a ground cutter from close range.
Breakers made two replacements early in the last half. Masala Tshinanga and Londolani Nemalili came on for Aubrey Hamisi and Innocent Mhlanga respectively. Lufuno Munyai completed his hat trick when he scored from 20 meters away.
Kaizer Nengovhela started writing stories for Limpopo Mirror in 2000. Prior to that he had a five year stint at Phala-Phala FM as sports presenter. In 2005 Kaizer received an award from the province's premier as Best Sports Presenter. The same year he was also nominated as Best Sports Reporter by the Makhado Municipality. Kaizer was awarded the Mathatha Tsedu award in 2014.
