Leopards to face the Golden Arrows

Black Leopards are preparing themselves for a tough match this weekend. They will undertake a journey to Durban where they will meet Golden Arrows in an Absa Premiership League encounter at the King Zwelithini Stadium tomorrow evening.

Leopards’ general manager, Mr Sam Khaphathe, is still adamant that his side will finish their league programme within the top four teams. He reiterated the fact that their set target was achievable, taking into account the team’s performance.

Golden Arrows are not easy to beat at home this season. They proved all the critics wrong by beating one of the league title favourites, Mamelodi Sundowns, at the same venue last Tuesday. It will be time for the former Leopards midfielder, Luyolo Mapholisa, to show his former employer that they committed a bad blunder by releasing him.

Mapholisa, together with Khethowakhe Masuku, left Lidoda Duvha for Golden Arrows and Orlando Pirates respectively at the end of last season.

The match is scheduled to start at 18:00.

In the other PSL matches that will also be played tomorrow, Platinum Stars will host Amazulu at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg; Ajax Cape Town will lock horns with the University of Pretoria at the Cape Town Stadium; Supersport United will host Free State Stars at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria and Kaizer Chiefs and Chippa United will meet at the Soccer City Complex in Johannesburg.

In the two matches that will be played on Sunday, Moroka Swallows will play against Mamelodi Sundowns at the Volkswagen Dobsonville Stadium, while Bloemfontein Celtic will take on Orlando Pirates at the Free State Stadium.

In the only match that will be played this evening, Maritzburg United will play against Bidvest Wits at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg.
