Leopards vs Supersport United

Sport  Date: 05 October 2012

Black Leopards must beat Supersport United when they meet in their Absa Premiership League encounter at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Sunday in order to keep their hopes of completing their league programme in the top four.

Still fresh from a goalless draw against Lamontville Golden Arrows at the King Zwelithini Stadium last Saturday, Leopards are still to lose a league match at home this season. Leopards have collected seven points so far, while Supersport are just a point above them. The last time the two teams met was when Leopards beat Supersport 1-0 at the Giyani Stadium towards the end of last season.

In the other Absa Premiership League match that will also be played on Sunday, the University of Pretoria will host Orlando Pirates at the Loftus Stadium in Pretoria. Amatuks are going in for the kill after crushing Ajax Cape Town 5-1 at the Cape Town Stadium last Saturday.

In the five matches that will be played tomorrow, Bidvest Wits will play against Golden Arrows at the Bidvest Stadium. Moroka Swallows and Free State Stars will fight for league points at the Goble Park Stadium in the Free State. Kaizer Chiefs will take their home match against Bloemfontein Celtic to the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth. Mamelodi Sundowns and Platinum Stars will lock horns at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria. Mamelodi Sundowns lost 0-2 to Moroka Swallows last Sunday.

Ajax Cape Town will fly to Durban. That is where they will fight for league points with Amazulu at the Moses Mabhida Stadium. In the only match that will be played this evening, the newly promoted Chippa United will host Maritzburg United at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town.
