THOHOYANDOU – After their surprise defeat against Lamontville Golden Arrows at Thohoyandou a fortnight ago, Black Leopards must win their league match against the rookies, African Wanderers at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Sunday.
The team started the season on a high note with an excellent performance in the Telkom Charity Challenge, but their defeat at home against Arrows shocked most of their faithful supporters. The sad news for the local lads is that their Swaziland international, Sibusiso Dlamini will not be part of the team that will face Wanderers. He was given marching orders in their BP top 8 KO Competition match against Santos.
The other pride of the North, Dynamos Football Club, will play their second Premiership fixture at their home ground, Giyani Stadium this weekend. They will battle for vital league points against Bush Bucks Football Club on Sunday.
According to the Public Relations Officer of the club, Mr Pastor Mafumo, the mood is high in the camp after returning with a point from their away fixture against Manning Rangers two weeks ago. Dynamos played to a 1-1 draw with Manning Rangers at the Chatsworth Stadium in Durban.
Sunday's match is scheduled to kick off at 15:00.
Only one match will be played tomorrow. Lamontville Golden Arrows will play against Jomo Cosmos at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Durban. This match will be screened live on television. The other match that will be played on Sunday will be between Santos and Manning Rangers. It will be played at the Greenpoint Stadium in Cape Town. This game will also be shown live on television.
Next Wednesday, September 11, will see only one league fixture. Kaizer Chiefs will be the host in their match against Supersport United. They will play at Ellispark Stadium in Johannesburg. The match is scheduled to start at 19:30.
