Dynamos blow Powerline off the park

Sport  Date: 25 October 2012

Zoutpansberg Powerline donated Safa Vhembe SAB league points to Tshiozwi Dynamos, after an easy 3-0 victory at Tshiozwi on Saturday.

Dynamos could have scored more than a dozen goals, had they managed to convert all their chances. The home team’s kingpin, Aluwani “Killer” Nedzamba, missed a clear chance in the 10th minute. His team mate, Mpho Mavhandu, committed the same blunder two minutes later.

Jayson Maisha of Powerline caused an upset after receiving a beautiful pass from Mule Nelwamondo. He held onto the ball for too long within the Dynamos danger area and lost possession of the ball.

When the referee blew the half-time whistle the score was still nil-nil. In the second half, Powerline lost cohesion in the middle of the park, while Dynamos were gaining momentum.

The first goal of the match was scored by Tsie Ndwammbi. He pounced on a rebound after Zane Mulaudzi tried his luck from the edge of the box. Mashudu Nengovhela scored his team’s second goal, after the keeper failed to handle the ball and it bounced to the unmarked Mashudu.

Powerline threatened to score in the 78th minute, when Fire Maleboho tried his luck from outside the penalty box. The keeper of Dynamos, Thendo Shivhishi, executed a brilliant save when he palmed the ball away. Mashudu Nengovhela completed his brace and scored his team’s third goal in the 80th minute. He scored from the edge of the box after he received a pass from Maligana Siebe.
