Leopards away to collect more points against Ajax

Sport  Date: 09 November 2012

Black Leopards will come back home with maximum league points from their match against Ajax Cape Town on Sunday. That is, if the team’s captain, Mongezi Bobe’s, words are anything to go by. They will meet at the Cape Town Stadium.
Bobe is adamant that his side will give the Urban Warriors a run for their money, despite the fact that it will be an away fixture for them. “As players, we have set ourselves a target of finishing the league programme in the top five and nothing will stop us from achieving that goal,” said the confident Bobe.
It will be the second match for Lidoda Duvha’s new head coach, Mr Ian Palmer, after taking over from the Zimbabwean-born Mr Sunday Chidzambwa last week. Palmer’s debut league match with Leopards was against Platinum Stars at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Wednesday.
It will be time for Ajax to exact sweet revenge for what Leopards did to them in their final league match at the Peter Mokaba Stadium last season. Ajax were doomed 1-3.
Also on Sunday, Bloemfontein Celtic will host Amazulu at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein. The University of Pretoria will play against Mamelodi Sundowns, Platinum Stars and Bidvest Wits will rub shoulders at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium and Golen Arrows will wrestle for points with Maritzburg United at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Durban. Kaizer Chiefs will travel to Pretoria for their match against Supersport United and Orlando Pirates and Free State Stars will meet at the Orlando Stadium.
The only match that will be played this evening will be between Moroka Swallows and Chippa United at the Volkswagen Dobsonville Stadium.
