Four Safa Vhembe teams will participate in the semifinal and final of the Nedbank Cup at the Makwarela Stadium tomorrow (Saturday).
Benny’s Care Soccer Academy will play against last year’s champions, Mukhula Young Santos, who are still fresh from hammering Maranzhe Hungry Lions 6-2. Benny’s were too strong for Mudziafera Blue Eagles and gave them a 3-1 hiding. The match will start at 09:00.
Tshakhuma RO, who beat Rabali Pull Together in a penalty shoot-out, will test their strength against Khakhanwa United. Khakhanwa beat Tshandama Try Together 5-2. The match will start at 11:00.
The final between the winners of the two matches will be played at 15:00.
The coach of Tshakhuma RO United, Mr Mashudu Ndou, said that his players were ready for any team. According to him, his team will definitely be the new champions. Benny’s coach, Mr Justice Matloga, said that his boys were usually playing well in knock-out competitions.
Kaizer Nengovhela started writing stories for Limpopo Mirror in 2000. Prior to that he had a five year stint at Phala-Phala FM as sports presenter.
