GIYANI – Dynamos have been favoured with the homeground advantage in their South African Airways Supa 8 semi-final match against Jomo Cosmos. The draws for the competition were conducted in Johannesburg on Monday.

Wits University pulled out Moroka Swallows during the interesting draw ceremony. The funny part of it is that all the PROs for the four semi-finalists are happy about the draws. Pastor Mafumo of Dynamos was quick to mention that Jomo Cosmos must prepare themselves for the shock of a lifetime. He acknowledged the fact that Cosmos have given them a run for their money in all instances when they met in the league fixtures.

He promised the fans that this time around they should expect something different. The match will be played at the Giyani Stadium next Saturday, August 30. The Giyani outfit beat Supersport United 1-0 in the top 8 stage of the competition at the Loftus Stadium in Pretoria last Sunday.

Moroka Swallows booted Lamontville Golden Arrows out of the prestigious competition last Saturday. They were beaten 0-1. Golden Arrows and Supersport United joined Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, who were also booted out in the first stage of the competition a fortnight ago.

Kaizer Chiefs were pushed out of the competition by Wits University, who beat them 2-1, while Pirates suffered a 1-2 defeat at the hands of Jomo Cosmos. The match between Wits University and Moroka Swallows will be played at the Bidvest Stadium. Dynamos will use their league match against Santos Football Club tomorrow as their measuring stick, to determine their readiness for the SAA Supa 8 match. The match will be played at the Giyani Stadium. At the same time, Black Leopards will be playing against Dangerous Stars at the Peter Mokaba Stadiun in Polokwane.
