Another defeat for the struggling Phungo All Stars

Phungo All Stars continued to donate league points when they lost 1-2 to Modimolle Aces in a Safa second division match at the Eltivillas grounds on Saturday.

The home side dominated the middle of the park but fumbled with the finishing upfront. A defender of Stars, Kamokgelo Ogaswa, scored an own goal when he tried to clear a ball. The half-time score was still 1-0 in favour of Aces.

In the second half, Stars' speedy striker, Teddy Mauhelwane, was brought down inside the penalty area and the referee pointed to the white spot. Loto Mahlaise converted from the spot. Mauhelwane was later injured and he left the picth on a stretcher.

The boys from Modimolle added another goal after a defender of Stars, Vilizer Mofoane, made a mistake and passed the ball to an opponent, Simon Zikhali. Zikhali did not make any mistake and scored the second goal from the edge of the box in the 87th minute.

Stars' captain, Tshikisio Mala, was red-carded for a second bookable offence. Thaba Khae,  Bernard Lefao and Tebogo Matomi were cautioned for unsporting conduct, while Mhlanhla Mkhize and Vilizer Mofoane of Stars were cautioned for rough play .
