It will be another weekend packed with action for the teams affiliated to the Safa Second Division.
The four teams based in the Vhembe District, Rospa United, Basel FC, Nobela All Stars and Phungo All Stars, will be engaged in local derbies.
Rospa United will play against Phungo All Stars at the Malamulele Stadium. It is time for Phungo All Stars to pull up their socks if they are serious about escaping the relegation axe at the end of the season. Although they had recently signed 15 players in a bid to strengthen their squad, Phungo are still battling to find a winning combination. Phungo will not find it easy to contain the United playmaker, Marks Munyai, and the team’s captain, Mashudu “Tlolo” Mashapha.
The other derby will be between Basel FC and Nobela All Stars at the refurbished Makwarela Stadium. Basel are one of the hot contenders for the league title, while Nobela All Stars are fast becoming the league’s milk cow. They have been disappointing the team’s supporters at home and away since the beginning of the season.
In the other matches that will also be played tomorrow afternoon, Lephalale Young Killers will play against Winners Park, Magezi FC and Blue Rocks will meet, Giyani Hotspurs will host Mighty FC, while The Dolphins will pay a visit to Baroka FC.
