Madombidzha Arsenal held the current log leaders of the Safa Vhembe SAB Stream E, Zamenkonste FC, to a goalless draw at Madombidzha on Saturday.
Arsenal were out of touch throughout the first half. They were lucky not concede an avalanche of goals during the first 45 minutes. The home team's kingpin, Dakalo Nwanamindwa, left the pitch on a stretcher and went to a local hospital for treatment, after he collided head-on with an opponent.
Arsenal had an early opportunity for a goal, but Mbengeni Rambuwani shot into the hands of the keeper, Kingsley Muligwa. A defender of the home team, Mavhungu Khodobo was yellow-carded for rough tackling a few minutes later.
Arsenal started the second half at a very fast pace, giving the opponents not a moment to breathe. The visitors' striker, Vhonanai Ntlemo, should have scored in the dying minutes, but his shot hit the crossbar and bounced back into the field of play.
Kaizer Nengovhela started writing stories for Limpopo Mirror in 2000. Prior to that he had a five year stint at Phala-Phala FM as sports presenter. In 2005 Kaizer received an award from the province's premier as Best Sports Presenter. The same year he was also nominated as Best Sports Reporter by the Makhado Municipality. Kaizer was awarded the Mathatha Tsedu award in 2014.
