THOHOYANDOU – Most of the Solly's League teams have already completed their league programme. The champions from each of the five streams will automatically gain promotion to the Castle Regional League.
Mphambo Kill Them All are the winners of Stream A. They finished the programme with 70 points, five ahead of Langutani Blue Birds. Makosha Wonder Boys and Malamulele All Stars are the last two teams on the log. Avkhom Hotel are dictating the terms in Stream B. They have 59 points in hand.
They moved to the top spot after beating Tshilonwe Young Bombers 3-0 at the Tshitereke grounds last Saturday. The victory made them overtake Gaba Union Fighters who have been leading the stream for the past two months. Themba Sunrise Riders and United Scientists are languishing at the bottom of the log.
Sunrise Riders have 25 points while Scientists have managed to deposit only six points into their league account. Vhulaudzi Rampama have also booked a place in the Castle Regional League next season. They finished the season on top of Stream E.
Tshimbupfe Disco Stars are the champions of Stream D of the Solly's League. They are tied with Kuruleni Happy Fighters with 48 points each. The third-placed Duthuni Happy Fighters are a point behind. Hlaniki Classic and Dzindi Brave Lions are the relegation candidates.
Frank is a Human Resources Manager at the Department of Public Works in Limpopo. He is the longest serving correspondent of the Mirror, having joined us at the end of 1990. He mainly writes sports reports and resides at Tsianda Village. In 2004, Frank won the National Castle League Award, an award for the best reporter in the SAB league in South Africa.
