Sweet revenge for Supersport United?

After a break of three weeks, the affiliates of the Absa Premiership Division will be back in action this weekend.

The only Limpopo side in the Absa Premiership, Black Leopards, will be away to test their strength against Supersport United at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria Saturday evening.

It will be time for Supersport United to avenge the defeat they suffered at the hands of Lidoda Duvha in their second-round league match last season. Supersport, or Matsatsantsa, were beaten 0-1 at a packed Giyani Stadium. The Leopards’ all-important goal was scored by their captain, Mongezi Bobe.

In an interview with Limpopo Mirror, Bobe indicated that they would continue from where they left off at the Giyani Stadium, despite the fact that it will be an away fixture for them.

On the other hand, the coach of United, Mr Gavin Hunt, said that Bobe’s wishes would turn into nightmares tomorrow evening.

The match is scheduled to start at 18:00 and will be screened live on television.

In the other PSL matches that will also be played tomorrow, Lamontville Golden Arrows will host Bidvest Wits at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Durban.

Platinum Stars will take on Mamelod Sundowns at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg and Orlando Pirates will battle it out for league points against University of Pretoria at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

The match of the week will be between Bloemfontein Celtic and the pace setters, Kaizer Chiefs. It will be staged at the Free State Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

On Sunday, Maritzburg United and Chippa United will meet at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg. The two matches that will be played this evening (Friday) are: Moroka Swallows vs Free State Stars and Ajax Cape Town and Amazulu.
