Struggling Dynamos and Witbank Spurs clash

Sport  Date: 28 March 2013

The fight for promotion and to escape relegation will continue among the NFD teams this weekend.

Six matches will be played Saturday afternoon, while the remaining two will be staged on Sunday.

There is huge interest in the match between Dynamos and Witbank Spurs, which will be played at the Giyani Stadium tomorrow afternoon. It will be the first match for the Giyani team under the guidance of their newly appointed coach, Mr Shepherd Murape. The Zimbabwean coach joined Dynamos two weeks ago, following the departure of the much-travelled Mr Owen da Gama.

Da Gama joined Dynamos in November last year. The team managed to win only one match under his guidance, something which the team’s managing director, Mr Pat Malabela, was not happy with.

Polokwane Dynamos are now languishing at the bottom of the log, following a string of poor results. The log leaders, Thanda Royal Zulu, will have a date with Polokwane City at the Richards Bay Stadium. Mpumalanga Black Aces will rub shoulders with Blackburn Rovers in Witbank.

FC Cape Town will host African Warriors, while Milano United will take on Vasco da Gama at the Parow Park Stadium. Sivutsa Stars and Roses United will meet in Nelspruit.

On Sunday, FCAK will host Santos, while United FC and Jomo Cosmos will meet at the Moruleng Stadium.
