TSHAKHUMA – A lack of adequate training was the main reason for FN Ravele High's not becoming the champions of the Coca-Cola Inter Secondary Cup. Ravele lost 3-2 to Hanyani on Saturday at the Tshakhuma grounds.

The team from Nzhelele attacked strongly during the first ten minutes. Things turned against them when their original stamina vanished. The guys from Hanyani were the first to blow the trumpet. They put more pressure on the defence of Ravele. The opening goal was scored by Patrick Manyama.

The half time score was still 1-0 for Hanyani. In the second half, erratic shooting and a lack of anticipation, as well as poor passes and crosses from both teams, were the main elements of the match. Sonnyboy Pharuli equalised in the 52nd minute and after the goal, the match deteriorated, despite the support of the lively crowd.

In the 67th minute, Milton Shiburi's goal took Hanyani into the lead, when he headed home a free kick, which was taken by Rhulani Makasela. Both coaches strengthened their teams by introducing new faces later in the match. Ravele called on Kanakana Netshisumbewa, Given Monothwana and Fhulufhelo Ramakuela and Hanyani brought on Moses Hlungwane, Kenneth Sholwani and Nkateko Rikhotso.

Masala Mavhunga equalised, when his 20-meter drive hit the roof of the net. In the last eight minutes, Hanyani's efforts paid dividends, when Melton Shiburi tried his luck from the centre half.

The keeper of Ravele Alukwathi Malivhana misdjuged the movement of the ball and later suffered the pain of watching it go beyond his reach
