Dynamos did not move even an inch on the log, despite the fact that they managed to hold Witbank Spurs to a goalless draw in their NFD first division match at the Giyani Stadium last Saturday.
Ri khomeni ri nga peli are still perched at the bottom of the log with seven points.
Last Saturday’s match against Witbank Spurs was the first for the Zimbabwean coach, Mr Shepherd Murape, on the team’s technical bench. Murape recently took over from Mr Owen da Gama, while Da Gama relieved the former Black Leopards assistant coach, Mr Joel Masutha, in November last year.
Mr Da Gama parted ways with Dynamos after managing one win and one draw in 12 matches, something which the team’s chairman, Mr Pat Malabela, was not happy with.
In the other NFD first division matches that were also played over the past weekend, FCAK shared the spoils with Santos when they played to a 1-1 draw at the Eldorado Park Stadium. Jomo Cosmos came back from a 0-2 deficit and held United FC to a 2-2 draw. Vasco da Gama gave their neighbours, Milano United, no chance when they overwhelmed them 2-0 at the Parow Park Stadium in Cape Town.
FC Cape Town had themselves to blame for sharing the glory with African Warriors. They played to a goalless draw. The Cape Town side was awarded a penalty late in the last half, but James Moipa's shot went astray.
Thanda Royal Zulu played to a 1-1 draw with Polokwane City at the Richards Bay Stadium and Mpumalanga Black Aces lost 0-1 to Blackburn Rovers at the Puma Rugby Stadium in Witbank.
