Takers and FCKK share in derby

The Tshakhuma derby between Maweja Takers and FCKK at the Tshakhuma Mulangaphuma grounds on Sunday ended in a goalless draw.

The score was not a true reflection of the game, as it was characterized by fruitless attempts from both sides.

Both sides approached the game aggressively and they demonstrated their rough skills from the onset. Referee Rabelani Nemushungwa did not allow any of the culprits to go unpunished. He flashed two yellow cards within the first 20 minutes. Mukandangalwo Ramunana of Takers and Londani Davhula of FCKK were reprimanded with yellow cards for dangerous play.

Realizing that Takers were unstoppable, the visitors started to play defensive football. The former Basel midfielder, Khumbudzo Muvhango, was a difficult player to contain for KK. Muvhango was everywhere, creating and connecting some dangerous passes to the frontrunners, who fumbled at the goal finish.

There was drama early in the second half. Khumbudzo Muvhango of Takers and Londani Davhula of KK exchanged bitter words, in what started like an ordinary argument. The referee acted immediately and give them their marching orders. The other players who were also booked for dangerous play were Rofhiwa Thangavhuelelo and Tshifhiwa Ndou, both of KK.

The keeper of KK, Lufuno Sikhwetha, pulled off a brilliant save after Abraham Munyai of Takers tried his luck from the edge of the box in the dying minutes.
