The Makhado Eltivillas grounds will be the centre of attraction Saturday afternoon. That is where the long-awaited Safa second-division match between the Vhembe-based sides, Nobela All Stars and Phungo All Stars, will be staged.
Both Nobela and Phungo are fighting for survival. Phungo, who have been languishing at the bottom of the log since the season started seven months ago, have been collecting full points at home and away of late. They unexpectedly beat one of the hot league-title contenders, Winners Park, 2-1 last Wednesday.
Winners Park will host Basel FC at the Mahwelereng Stadium in Mokopane in the only match that will be played on Sunday. Basel must win the match in order to remain in the contest for the league championship. Giyani Hotspurs will undertake a journey to Tzaneen. They will play against Blue Rocks at the Nkowankowa Stadium. Hotspurs have reason to believe that they will collect the full points in the match as Blue Rocks are still battling to find a winning combination.
Mosesetjane All Stars will entertain Rospa United FC at the Mahwelereng Stadium in Mokopane. Ray Pillars and Baroka will meet at the Seshego Stadium. Magezi FC will play against Lephalale Young Killers at the Peter Mokaba Athletics Stadium.
Eight matches will be played next Wednesday, 1 May. The fixtures are Baobab Zero Fake vs Magezi, Lephalale Young Killers vs Ray Pillars, Baroka vs Mosesetjane All Stars, Rospa United vs Blue Rocks, Giyani Hotspurs vs Winners Park, Basel vs The Dolphins, Modimolle Aces vs Phungo All Stars and Nobela All Stars vs Mighty.
