Can Leopards survive?

Black Leopards are faced with the mammoth task of collecting the maximum points in their two upcoming Absa Premiership League matches.

They will host University of Pretoria at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane tomorrow afternoon.

While Amatuks, as they are also known, have nothing to lose in the match, the situation is totally different with Lidoda Duvha. They must win the match at all costs in order to keep their hopes of escaping the relegation axe. The Limpopo outfit will travel to Durban next Wednesday, 1 May. They will play against the other relegation candidates, Amazulu, at the Princess Magogo Stadium. Collecting the maximum points in the two matches will enhance Leopards' chances of retaining their Absa Premiership franchise come next season.

Leopards are currently lying in the second last position on the log, with 23 points. Their top goal scorer, Rodney Ramagalela, assured the team’s followers that they will win the two matches convincingly, no matter what the opponents come up with.

In the other Absa Premiership league matches that will also be played tomorrow, Free State Stars will host Amazulu at the Goble Park Stadium and Orlando Pirates will pay a visit to Bidvest Wits. Bloemfontein Celtic and Mamelodi Sundowns will meet at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria and the match of the week will be between Chippa United and Ajax Cape Town at the Phillipi Stadium. Lamontville Golden Arrows will host Supersport United at the Princess Magogo Stadium in Durban on Sunday.

The other matches that will also be played next Wednesday (1 May) are: Ajax Cape Town vs Kaizer Chiefs, University of Pretoria vs Bidvest Wits, Moroka Swallows vs Lamontville Golden Arrows, Platinum Stars vs Maritzburg United and Bloemfontein Celtic vs Supersport United.
