Away victory for Rospa United

Sport  Date: 03 May 2013

Rospa United denied Mosesetjane All Stars the chance to collect a full compliment of points at home, when they blasted them 3-2 in their Safa second-division match at the Mahwelereng Stadium in Mokopane on Saturday afternoon.

Rospa are now safe as far as relegation is concerned as they have moved to the ninth position on the log, following their victory over Mosesetjane All Stars. The pace setters, Baroka FC, maintained their leadership by beating Ray Pillars 2-0 at the Seshego Stadium.

The score was not a true reflection of the game as Ray Pillars were by far the better side when it came to ball possession. To prove that it was not their day, Pillars were awarded a penalty in the 19th minute after a defender of Baroka, Jonas Ngoepe, handled the ball within the box. Lawrence Matopela upset the fans when he shot wide from the white spot.

Lephalale Young Killers went back home with empty hands from their away match against Magezi FC. They narrowly lost 0-1 at the Peter Mokaba Athletics Stadium.

The supporters of Blue Rocks left the Nkowankowa Stadium with sore hearts after their home team gave away points to Giyani Hotspurs, who crushed them 2-0. Basel drew 2-2 with Winners Park at the Mahwelereng Stadium on Sunday.

Modimolle Aces could not absorb the pressure from The Dolphins, who crushed them 2-1 at the Seshego Stadium. Phungo All Stars and Nobela All Stars shared the glory. They played to a goalless draw at the Makhado Eltivillas grounds.
