GIYANI – While everyone is focusing on the boxing tournament to be staged in Giyani Town Hall on July 26, there is one man who is already looking beyond that, even though he will also be fighting on the same date.
That man is Ntshengedzeni Netshivhera, who is scheduled to fight Kabelo Ndlovu from Gauteng, the elder brother of Takalani Ndlovu.
Mukhithi knocked Netshivhera out in the fourth round during their fight for a vacant provincial championship in the middleweight division, four months back at the Thohoyandou Indoor Sports Centre. Netshivhera was winning the fight, but he became too excited and received a powerful shot from Mukhithi, who finished him off by sending him to the canvass.
However, Netshivhera admitted that he had made a mistake in that fight while adding that, "I am going to take that title home, as I deserve it." He also said he was working hard for his fight against Ndlovu, to make sure that when he fights Mukhithi somewhere in August, he will be fit and ready.
Meanwhile, Mukhithi, who will also be fighting against a yet to be announced opponent in Giyani said, "There is nothing new I can expect from Netshivhera." "This guy used to say a lot before our first fight. I was also expecting too much from him, but he disappointed me when I knocked him out in the fourth round. So, whatever he says now, I am not scared. The title is mine and it will not go anywhere. His big mouth only makes me hope that this time he will give me a good fight."
