Sixteen teams will participate in the Rospa tournament this weekend. The event will take place at the Vuwani Mandani grounds tomorrow and Sunday.
According to the organiser of the tournament, Mr Joseph Nemangowe, the main aim of the tournament is to scout players to play for Rospa United in the Limpopo Safa second division league.
The next round of matces will take place at the same venue on 30 June.
The tournament winners will receive R5 000, a trophy, new soccer kit and gold medals and the losing team in the final will receive R2 000, a new soccer kit and silver medals. The teams who lose in the semifinal will also receive prize money.
The teams to participarte in the tournament will be Mahematsheni Flying Swallows, Guvhungwa United, Phadziri FC, Wayeni Sea Robbers, Mudziafera Blue Eagles, Maweja FC, FC KK, Vhembe FET, Malonga United, Sundani FC, Tshiozwi Dynamos, Zamenkomste Liverpool, Madombidzha Arsenal, Madombidzha Western Stars and Rospa United
Kaizer Nengovhela started writing stories for Limpopo Mirror in 2000. Prior to that he had a five year stint at Phala-Phala FM as sports presenter. In 2005 Kaizer received an award from the province's premier as Best Sports Presenter. The same year he was also nominated as Best Sports Reporter by the Makhado Municipality. Kaizer was awarded the Mathatha Tsedu award in 2014.
