GIYANI – It's official, Dynamos and African Wanderers will be campaigning in the Castle Premiership Division, when the activities of the new season resume in August.
Dynamos have sealed their league programme by beating Alexandra United 2-0 in front of their home crowd in their thrilling game at Alexandra Stadium on Saturday. Although their game against Alexandra United was equally contested, the pride of Giyani had squandered more chances than the host in the early minutes of the game.
The Limpopo lads took the lead in the 26th minute. They were awarded a place kick, when Soul Mmethi was tackled the rough way by Eric Nkoane in the 25meter area. The former Moroka Swallows midfielder, Phumlani Dindi, took his chance and left the United keeper, Donald Kekana a flabbergasted man.
Dynamos took the game to the opponents towards the end of the first half. Their efforts were wasted by their forwards, who continuously shot aimlessly from close range.
In the second half Andries Sebola fluffed a chance to put his side two goals up when his shot hit the side netting. Timothy Nkosi scored the second goal after receiving a neat pass from Kenneth Motshumi.
Sebola caused another upset in the 84th minute when he broke through the United defence and ballooned from the far left corner.
