Triegies the Makhado show champs

Louis Trichardt High are the new champions of the Tanganani Driving School soccer tournament, after beating Makhado Comprehensive in the final match played during the Makhado Municipal Show on Saturday.

The score was 1-all when referee Sonnyboy Netshiavha blew his final whistle and the winner was determined through a penalty shoot-out.

Makhado Comprehensive soon realised that it was not their day when they missed two easy chances in the first 15 minutes The players who made the Makhado fans jump up from their seats in disbelief were Gundo Sadiki and Joseph Ramabubuda.

Ntivo Baloyi of Louis Trichardt High caused a real upset when his shot hit the upright with the Makhado goalkeeper,Tshimbiluni Malusha, well beaten. Agape Tshigomana of Louis Trichradt beat three defenders in row before he sent the keeper the wrong way.

Makhado abused countless scoring opportunities early in the second half. They equalised, however, through their demon striker, Chris Webster. Webster finished off a square ball from Rendani Mauda. In the second half, Makhado introduced Maseda Tendani for Archone Ravuku.

Two players, Trinity Tshivhase of Louis Trichardt of and Thivhonali Malivha of Makhado, were cautioned with a yellow card for different infringements.

On Friday, Louis Trichardt beat Masedi Combined School 4-3 in the semi-finals.
