Benny's Care Soccer Academy aim to bring more silverware home when they play in the final of the Metropolitan U/16 Competition at the Malamulele Stadium tomorrow (Saturday).
Benny's are known as cup-final specialists in Limpopo. They won the Limpopo leg of the Sanlam Kay Motsepe last week and will participate in the national championship on 24 September in Durban.
The coach of Benny's, Mr Justice Matloga, said they were going all out to win the competition. He added that it was important to reward the loyal community of Vhembe who had supported the team when the competition started.
Some of the players on whom they will pin their hopes for victory include Mutshidzi Nemaxwi, Lavhelesani Mukomafhedzi, Ronewa Baloyi and Tondani Phadziri.
Matloga added that his team would also represent Vhembe in Sekhukhune in the Copa Coca Cola U/15 at the end of the month.
Kaizer Nengovhela started writing stories for Limpopo Mirror in 2000. Prior to that he had a five year stint at Phala-Phala FM as sports presenter. In 2005 Kaizer received an award from the province's premier as Best Sports Presenter. The same year he was also nominated as Best Sports Reporter by the Makhado Municipality. Kaizer was awarded the Mathatha Tsedu award in 2014.
