Benny's Care Sport won the  Sanlam Kay Motsepe School Cup in Limpopo, when they beat FK Tjine School 4-3 in the provincial final played at Giyani Stadium on Saturday evening.

The winner was determined by a penalty shoot-out, as they had played to a nil-nil draw.

During the match, Benny's was strong at the far back and in the striking force department but lacked cohesion in the middle of the park. The balls that threatened the defence of Tjine were ballooned from behind.

Tjine enjoyed more ball possession, but they couldn’t crack the tight defence of Benny's.

Benny's tactic was to cool the ball down in the middle of the park, thus giving their opponents no chance to do as they pleased.

Both sides used all their substitutions. Benny's got a good chance early in the second half, but their striker, Khuliso Mudau, shot wide with only the keeper left. The centre forward of Tjine, Thato Sefoloshe, went into the referee's book after dangerous play on Lesedi ”TT” Kapinga.

Thapelo Morodi of Tjine had an opportunity in the 74th minute, but shot into the hands of the keeper, Rendani Mukomafhedzi.

Tjine made three substitutions in the last half. They introduced Thabang Phore, Cavin Mathebe and Collen Mohlomonyane respectively.
