Last weekend saw the newly promoted Baroka FC collect the maximum National First Division League points.

Although it was an away fixture for them, Baroka proved all the critics wrong by coming back home with tyhree points from their match against the rookies, Maluti FET College. Baroka beat the students 1-0 at the Charles Mopedi Stadium in Phuthaditjhaba on Saturday.

After losing their opening league match at home, Thanda Royal Zulu continued to give away points. This time around, they disappointed their home fans by losing 0-1 to Santos at the Umhlathuze Sports Complex in Richards Bay.

Black Leopards  suffered a 1-2 defeat at the hands of African Warriors at the Seshego Stadium last Friday. Black Leopards soon realised that it was not their day when they conceded an own goal in the opening minutes of the game. Jomo Cosmos were crushed 0-2 by Milano United at the Grassy Park Stadium in Cape Town and Chippa United maintained their unbeaten record by beating FC Cape Town 2-0. United FC beat Roses United 2-1 at the Kaizer Sebotlelo Stadium in Botshabelo.

Sivutsa Stars are still celebrating their 2-0 victory over Witbank Spurs. The match was played at the Kabokweni Stadium in Nelspruit. Vasco da Gama were too good for Blackburn Rovers when they beat them 2-1 at the Parow Park Stadium.
