THOHOYANDOU – The three points which Black Leopards grabbed in their league match against Santos Football Club at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Sunday, pushed them a step up on the log. That was the final league match for Lidoda Duvha.
Unlike last week, when they were lying in fifth place from the bottom of the log, Leopards have ended their programme in the eleventh position. The teams that kissed the country's elite league goodbye are Bush Bucks Football Club and African Wanderers.
African Wanderers, who managed to win only four of their thirty league matches, finished the season with 18 points. Their companions, Bush Bucks, managed to deposit 31 points into their league account during the season. Orlando Pirates are still celebrating their winning of the league championship. The Buccaneers have 61 points in hand, six ahead of the second-placed Supersport United. Wits University, who at one stage were leading the pack, finished the season in third place.
Moroka Swallows' 0-2 defeat at the hands of Lamontville Golden Arrows last weekend, pushed them down to the fourth position. They were in the second position last week.
Dynamos have qualified for the SAA Super 8 KO Competition, despite the fact that their performance dropped dramatically during their last ten matches.
