THOHOYANDOU - The disciplinary committee for the Sibasa District Football Association (Sidfa), during its meeting held last Saturday, imposed a fine of R1 000 on Begwa United Brothers for failure to provide adequate security for the match officials during their home match against Muhuyu XI Experience.
Half of the fine was suspended and United Brothers were again ordered to pay the referee’s fee of R40 and to replace the referee’s stop watch that was damaged during the ordeal that saw the match official, Mphoshomani Nkhetheni, run for his life.
Muhuyu XI Experience were found guilty of failure to provide adequate security for the match officials and causing the abandonment of their game against Makonde Home Defenders. They were fined an amount of R500, of which R100 was suspended. They forfeited the points of the match to Home Defenders.
Matangari Dangerous Vultures failed to provide adequate security for the match officials during their game against Tswera Hot Chilies. They were ordered to pay a fine of R800, half of which was suspended. They forfeited the points for the match in question to Hot Chilies.
Khubvi African Stars Stars failed to honour their league math against Matangari High Aims. They were fined an amount of R200 for that. They also forfeited the points to the opponents. Gondeni Brave Lions assaulted a referee in their match against Tshatshingo Potholes and were fined an amount of R800.
Two clubs, Mushungwa Try Again and Maholoni Stone Breakers, failed to honour their matches against Matsika Shooting Stars and Tshilungwi Manchester. They were each ordered to pay a fine of R150, apart from forfeiting the league points to the opponents.
Rambuda Young Fighters caused the abandonment of their game against Tshatshingo Potholes. The committee ordered them to pay a fine of R200 for their unbecoming conduct. TshilungwI Manchester fielded an improperly registered player in their match against Makuya Try Again. A fine of R200 was imposed on them.
