Mailaskop Pull Together held Tshiozwi Dynamos to 1-all draw in their MMK Insurance league match played at Tshiozwi on Sunday.
Pull Together did not lose their fighting spirit, although two of their key players, Christopher Manyatsha and Melvin Mabatha, were cautioned with yellow cards in the 14th and 16th minute respectively. The wheel of fortune turned against Pull Together in the 20th minute. Their defender, Norman Mudau, failed to stop the ball, and Mashudu Nengovhela scored easily.
The technical staff for the visiting team could not forgive him for the blunder he had committed and he gave way to Mashudu Malema. The equaliser of Pull Together was scored by Melvin Tshifularo from a free kick. After the goal, Pull Together regrouped and started to dictate terms.
The Mailaskop boys were led by their midfield linkman, Melvin Mabatha. They raided the Dynamos’ danger area continuously, but Lady Luck was not on their side. They tried to walk the ball into the net, but the Dynamos defence was rock solid.
In the second half, the home team introduced George Phungo and Velaphi Mphaphuli for Rambuda Maphaha and Matodzi Maruli respectively. Their introduction did not change the complexion of the match and the game finished without any more excitement.
