Victory for Black Leopards

Sport  Date: 08 November 2013

Black Leopards registered their second victory, when they beat Thanda Zulu Royals 2-1 at Seshego Stadium on Saturday.

The local boys initiated some promising moves from the centre of the pitch but were denied a number of scoring opportunities by the solid defence of their opponents.Lidoda Duvha approached the second half like a house on fire, with their midfielders distributing some telling passes to the strikers. They threatened to score in the early minutes of the second half. Dunga Mganga forced his way through the defence of their opponents before passing the ball to David Zulu. His attempt missed the target by inches.

Royals abandoned their position and packed themselves at the far back. Samuel Tefu scored Leopards' first goal. He unleashed a powerful shot from outside the box and beat the opponents' keeper easily. The keeper watched in disbelief as the ball hit the net to give his team a 0-1 deficit.

After the goal, Leopards lost shape in the midfield and Royals capitalized on this to score when their veteran striker David Radebe finished a square pass from Sphamandla Zungu. Karabo Tshepe of Leopards forced his way through the defence of the opponents and released a rocket from outside the box to make the score 2-1.
