Basel and Dolphins to clash

Sport  Date: 15 November 2013

It will be another busy weekend for the teams affiliated to the Safa Second Division League. After failing to honour their opening league match two weeks ago, Basel FC are geared to collect the maximum points at the expense of The Dolphins at the Makwarela Stadium tomorrow afternoon.

According to the manager of Basel, Mr Vhutshilo Makhado, they have assembled a youthful squad that has the potential to upset any of the big guns. On the other hand, the coach of Dolphins, Mr Joel Mongalo, has sent a chilling warning to Basel, saying they will never know what hit them at the end of the game, should they take the Dolphins for granted.

Rospa United will travel to Mokopane, where they will lock horns with Mosesetjane All Stars. It will be the first league match for All Stars. It remains to be seen whether Dynamos will avail themselves for the match against Phungo All Stars at the Nwamitwa ground. Dynamos failed to honour their opening league match against Joe’s Express, which was supposed to have been played at the Malamulele Stadium a fortnight ago.

Blue Rocks will entertain Joe’s Express at the Nkowankowa Stadium, while Ray Pillars will play in front of their home crowd. They will host Great North FC at the Seshego Stadium. Giyani Hotspurs will undertake a journey to Polokwane to meet Magezi at the Peter Mokaba Athletics Stadium. Magezi started the new season with a bang, as they beat Mighty FC 3-1 in their opening match.

Modimolle Aces will host Bellevue Winners, and Winners Park will have a date with Mighty FC at the Mahwelereng Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
