Last home fixture for Leopards

Sport  Date: 12 April 2002

THOHOYANDOU - Black Leopards will play their last home league fixture this weekend. They will entertain a team from the Eastern Cape, Bush Bucks at the Thohoyandou Stadium tomorrow (Saturday, April 13).

This is one of the matches which the local lads must win at all cost in order to secure a place in the BP Top 8 KO competition next season.

The Leopards’ midfielder, Donald Mulaudzi, will also be back in action after watching his side’s previous three matches from the pavillion. Mulaudzi was red-carded during the match against Lamontville Golden Arrows in Durban two weeks ago.

Bush Bucks, who are stuck in the fourth last position on the log, are not on the safe side as far as relegation is concerned. The match is scheduled to start at 15:00.

Two matches will be played tonight. Ria Stars will pay a visit to Hellenic at the Greenpoint Stadium in Cape Town. Manning Rangers will take on Wits University at the Chatsworth Stadium in Durban. The two matches will start at 20:00. In the other matches that will be played tomorrow, Lamontville Golden Arrows will host the relegation bound Thembisa Classic at Chatsworth Stadium in Durban.

Jomo Cosmos and Supersport United will fight for league points at the Caledonian Stadium in Pretoria. This match will be screened live on television. On Sunday Free State Stars will host Ajax Cape Town at the Charles Mopedi Stadium in the Free State.

The television match will be between Mamelodi Sundowns and Moroka Swallows. It will be played at the Loftus Minolta Stadium in Pretoria. Only one match will be played next Tuesday, April 16. Amazulu will host Supersport United at the Absa Stadium in Durban.
