The players who will participate in the provincial U/13 and U/15 teams were selected during the inter-regional tournament which was staged at the Makwarela Stadium on Sunday.

According to the chairman of the competitions committee for the Vhembe Regional Association, Mr Mulimisi Muneri, the teams will represent the province during the national tournament next month.

Mr Juluka Hobyane will be coaching the U/15 team and he will be assisted by the former coach of Basel FC, Mr Justice Mtileni. Eight of the 18 U/15 players who were selected on Sunday are from Vhembe District, while the other districts, Capricorn, Sekhukhune, Waterberg and Mopani, share the remaining ten.

The U/15 squad comprises Jan Mahloni, Wayne Vunza, Matsimele Ntsoane, Divine Mithi, Johnson Nkambule, Kulani Ratshikhopha, Lesiba Letoka, Vusi Sambo, Amos Molomo, Jake Risiba, Milian Maboya, Lehutso Mokgoadi, Mfumo Mongwe, Junaid Maluleke, Malwandu Miyambo, Tidimalo Tobejane and Shikwane Mapitsing.

The players in the U/13 squad are Gerald Shikwamba, Oratile Ndou, Jackson Mehlape, Brighton Raluswinga, Maisela Lekolwane, Cassius Mailula, Kabelo Monyana, Lutendo Munyalo, Mohale Rabotole, Katlego Masekoa, Kgolego Malema, John Musina, Thabang Modiba, Kgotlego Thabiso, Karabo Mamokabi, Kgathaso Mataboge, Tully Tebeila and Gift Monyepao.

The names of the U/13 head coach and his assistant will be announced soon.
