Rospa United are fast becoming the milk cow of the Safa Second Division league. They suffered another blow last Saturday, when they lost 1-3 to Lephalale Young Killers at the Mogol Stadium in Lephalale.
It was United’s fifth consecuitive defeat and they are now in the second-last position on the log.
Joe’s Express, who were leading the pack at some stage, gave away league points when Great North FC beat them 1-2 at the Makwarela Stadium. Dakalo Ratshitanga scored the only goal for Express. They also dropped to the sixth position on the log, following their embarrassing defeat.
Phungo All Stars did everything they could in their match against Giyani Hotspurs, but their efforts were not good enough to stop their opponents from scoring two goals. Phungo reduced the margin in the second half, but Hotspurs managed to maintain their lead up to the bitter end.
The pace setters, Bellevue Winners Park, proved that the sky is their limit by crushing Mighty FC 4-0 at the Malamulele Stadium. Winners Park were firing on all cylinders from the onset and it was not surprising that they scored three goals within the first 45 minutes. Bellevue Winners Park are now on top of the log with 22 points, two ahead of Blue Rocks.
Modimolle Aces collected the maximum points at the expense of Mosesetjane All Stars, whom they beat 3-1 at the Ephraim Mohale Stadium in Modimolle. Dynamos beat Winners Park 1-0 at the Nkowankowa Stadium. The other results are Blue Rocks 1, Magezi FC 1 and Ray Pillars 2, Basel FC 0.
