Leopards and Stars on the warpath

THOHOYANDOU – Tomorrow will see Black Leopards locking horns with Ria Stars in their Castle Premiership League match at the Thohoyandou Stadium.

Ria Stars will be fighting with the aim of avenging the 4-5 defeat that they had suffered at the hands of Lidoda Duvha in their reverse fixture that was played at the Pietersburg Stadium three months ago.

On the other hand, the home side must win the match in order to remain among the top eight teams. They also have an obligation of restoring their lost pride, after losing 1-4 to Amazulu in Durban last weekend.

The good news for the local lads is that their all-rounder, Christopher Netshidzivhe, is back in the camp and fit for the match. Netshidzivhe, who was out for several weeks due to injury, came on as a substitute during their match against Amazulu last Sunday.

One other player who is likely to be in the starting eleven is Jacob Tshisevhe, who was bought from Mamelodi Sundowns last week.

The match is scheduled to start at 16:00.

In other Castle Premiership League matches, Supersport United will play against Bush Bucks at the Caledonian Stadium in Pretoria on Sunday.

Another match that will be played on the same day will be between Mamelodi Sundowns and Jomo Cosmos. It will be played at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.

Ajax Cape Town will battle for league points against Manning Rangers at the Newlands Stadium in Cape Town next Tuesday, March 12.

Two matches will be played at the various venues next Wednesday, March 13. Thembisa Classic will meet Mamelodi Sundowns at the Makhulong Stadium in Thembisa. Moroka Swallows will have a date with Free State Stars at the Rand Stadium.
