Can Stars shine over United Artists?

The opening matches of the Vhembe Regional League promotional play-off matches will be staged at two venues this weekend.

The champions from the nine MMK Funeral Services League divisions have been divided into two groups. Group A matches will be staged at the Makwarela Stadium, while Rabali Stadium will host the group B matches tomorrow.

Group A comprises Tshibvumo Young Stars, United Artists, Rabali Pull Together, Mukula Young Santos and Western Stars. The other group is made up of Igwe FC, Rockers FC, Thula M2 and Muziafera Blue Eagles.

Tshibvumo Young Stars and United Artists will meet at 08:00 at the Makwarela Stadium tomorrow. Rabali Pull Together and Mukula Young Santos will follow at 10:00, while the match between Western Stars and Tshibvumo Young Stars is scheduled to start at 13:00. United Artists and Rabali Pull Together will wrap up the day’s programme at the Makwarela Stadium.

On Sunday, the Group A matches will be staged at the Tshifulanani Stadium. The fixtures are Mukula Young Santos vs Tshibvumo Young Stars, Rabali Pull Together vs Western Stars, United Artists vs Mukula Young Santos and Tshibvumo Young Stars vs Rabali Pull Together.

Tomorrow’s matches at the Rabali Stadium are: Igwe FC vs  Rockers FC, Thula M2 vs Muziafera Blue Eagles, Igwe FC vs Thula M2 and Rockers Fc vs Muziafera Blue Eagles.

Two group B matches will be staged at the Makwarela Stadium on Sunday: Igwe FC vs Muziafera Blue Eagles at 13:00 and Rockers and Thula M2 at 15:00.

The best teams from each group will meet each other in the final to determine the overall winner.

The overall  regional champions will meet the champions from the other four regions in the provincial play-off. The best two teams in the provincial play-offs will gain promotion to the Safa Second Division League.
