GIYANI – Dynamos continued to pave their way to the country’s elite division, when they squashed Mabopane Young Masters 3-0 in a Premier First Division League match at the Giyani Stadium on Saturday.

The game started at a blistering pace with the home side being the superiors in as far as ball possession is concerned. Jacky Ledwaba was trapped by the sweeper of Young Masters in the box and thus forcing the referee to award a penalty to Dynamos. At that stage the game was three minutes old. Lyborn Mathebula opened the Dynamos account from the spot.

Young Masters changed their original pattern and started to initiate moves from behind. They did not reap anything from their effort, as it was not easy to find the way through the rock solid defence of Dynamos.

The team from the Lowveld was awarded a place kick in the 24th minute. Jacky Ledwaba picked the ball from the place kick and Simon Ramalatso, who was in the perfect scoring position, gave it the final touch. The centre half of Masters, Alpheus Dube was reprimanded with a card for an illegal tackle on Sathiel Phasha.

Dynamos were leading with three goals at half time. Jacky Ledwaba scored their third goal. He unleashed a powerful volley from the 25m area and the keeper of Masters suffered the pain of watching the ball going beyond his reach.

Dynamos fortified the midfield by introducing Josam Ndou for Lyborn Mathebula early in the last half. The visitors effected some changes to their starting lineup but this did not help them.

Alpheus Dube of Masters was given his marching orders for his second bookable offence towards the end of the game.
