Five Leopards players up for transfer

THOHOYANDOU – Black Leopards Football Club have put five players, Richard Lishivha, Wonder Nhleko, Bongani Masangane, Christopher Netshidzivhe, and Mpho Magidi on transfer. This was revealed by the club’s brand manager, Mr Tshifhiwa Thidiela.

When asked how they reached the conclusion of putting the five on the transfer list, the team’s coach, Shakes Mashaba, stated that the players had been accorded a fair chance to prove themselves but instead of improving, their work rate has been deteriorating from one match to the next.

Mashaba further said that it was of no use maintaining a large number of players when they knew that they would never utilize them. “Look, we were seriously hit by injuries when we played Kaizer Chiefs two weeks ago in that four of our regulars, Eric Ramavhale, Lebohang Nekhalale, Sbusiso Dlamini, and Godfrey Ramudzuli were not available for selection”.

According to him that was not an excuse not to beat Chiefs as they still had about 20 players to select the starting 11 from, but it was difficult for him to find the team that could face Chiefs. That, according to him, was a clear indication that most of the players are adding no value to the team.

He further said that the transfer-listed players will be training with them until such time that they find new teams. Two of the transfer-listed players, Wonder Nheko and Christopher Netshidzivhe, were given another chance when Leopards beat Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 at the Thohoyandou Stadium last Saturday. Nesthidzivhe proved all the critics wrong when he scored his team’s opening goal in the first half.
