THOHOYANDOU – Thohoyandou Stadium will be the centre of attraction tomorrow afternoon. That is where the Castle Premiership League match between the high-riding Black Leopards and Sanlam Santos will take place.
The match is for several reasons expected to provide maximum entertainment from the first whistle right to the end.
The two teams played to a 1-1 draw in their reverse fixture that was played at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town last year. Today Santos are on top of the log while Black Leopards are one of the hot contenders for the league title.
Both teams collected full points in their last weekend fixtures. Leopards crushed Kaizer Chiefs 2-0 while Santos doomed Manning Rangers 3-2 in their own back yard. The match is scheduled to kick off at 15:30.
In the other PSL fixtures Moroka Swallows will test their strength against Mamelodi Sundowns at the Rand Stadium. Free State Stars and Kaizer Chiefs will fight for the all important league points at the Charles Mopedi Stadium. Ria Stars will have a date with Hellenic at the Pietersburg Rugby Stadium. The match between Ajax Cape Town and Supersport United will be played at the Newlands Stadium in Cape Town.
Kaizer Chiefs will again lock horns against Jomo Cosmos at the Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg next Tuesday, February 12. Two matches will be played next Wednesday, February 13. Mamelodi Sundowns will meet Bush Bucks at the Loftus Stadium in Pretoria.
The other match will be between Ajax Cape Town and Wits University. This one will be played at the Newlands Stadium in Cape Town.
The Premier First Division League fixture involving Highlandspark Silver Stars and Sporting FC will follow the match between Black Leopards and Santos. It will start at 18:00.
