Two Countries Race around the corner

It is once again time for the popular Two Countries Marathon to take place between Zimbabwe and South Africa. This year, it will take place on 13 September.

The race, organised by the Soutpansberg Athletics Club, will double as the 17th Musina Municipality’s Mayor’s Race, with Eric Louw High School being the venue.

Pre-arranged free transport to the start of the 42,2km race in Zimbabwe is available. Please note that busses will depart strictly at 04:45 on the day of the race. The race will start at 06:00 and the entry fee is R60 (plus R25 for a temporary licence).  Pre-entries for this race close on 1 September. A copy of the runner’s passport and proof of payment must be attached to the entry form.

Line entries for the 21,1km race will take place from 05:00, with the race starting at 07:00. The entry fee for this race is R40 (plus R25 for temporary licence). There will also be a 9km race, which will start at 07:30. The entry fee is R20 (plus R25 for temporary licence).

The races promise fierce competition, with R73 200 in prize money to be won.
