Black Leopards collected their first point of the season by holding Jomo Cosmos to a 1-1 draw in their National First Division League match at the Isak Steyl Stadium in Thembisa on Sunday.
The result is not a true reflection of the game, as Lidoda Duvha were by far the better side when it came to ball possession throughout the game. Leopards squandered numerous obvious scoring chances before they finally found the net via Leonard Ntshangase in the 19th minute. Cosmos fought back through Edwin Serakalala seven minutes before the final whistle.
Witbank Spurs gave their fans their money's worth by crushing Cape Town All Stars 2-0 at the Themba Senamela Stadium in Witbank.
Vasco da Gama gave Royal Eagles no chance. They beat them 1-0 at the Parow Park Stadium in Cape Town. Baroka shared the glory with Thanda Royal Zulu, following their goalless draw at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
African Warriors played to a 1-1 draw with FC Cape Town at the Charles Mopeli Stadium in Phuthaditjaba. The visitors from Cape Town were the first to find the net. Their lethal striker, David Masondo, headed home after a corner kick that was taken by Freddy Zulu.
After beating Black Leopards 1-0 at the Thohoyandou Stadium two weeks ago, Lamontville Golden Arrows played to a goalless draw with Milano United FC at the Chatsworth Stadium in Durban.
Santos registered a 3-2 victory at the expense of Maluti FET College at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town last Friday evening. Santos were two goals ahead when the teams adjourned for half time. Garankuwa United collected full points by beating the newly promoted Highlandspark at the Pilditch Stadium in Pretoria. That was the first victory for Garankuwa United.
