Over the past weekend, the Louis Trichardt Tennis Club hosted a tennis tournament.

Participating clubs included the hosting club, and the tennis teams of Giyani and the University of Venda. Each contestant participated in five matches, which included singles, doubles and mixed matches.

The Louis Trichardt Tennis Club emerged as victors at the end of the tournament. Their men’s players were Graig Viljoen (4 out of 5 matches), Elardus du Plessis (4 out of 5 matches), Jaco Botha (3 out of 5) and Aidan Bristow (3 out of 5 matches).

The women players were Sherise Henning (4 out of 5), Lindsay Viljoen (5 out of 5), Larissa du Plessis (4 out of 5) and Emlyn Foord (3 out of 5).

Following the tournament, the committee of the Louis Trichardt Tennis Club thanked Palm Motors for their sponsorship of cool drinks toward the tournament and Oasis Water for sponsoring water.
