HAMAKHUVHA – Tshifudi XI Experience are the champions of the prestigious SK Newlook Electrics KO Competition. They beat Gooldville Young Tigers 1-0 in the finals of the competition at Hamakhuvha ground on Sunday.
During the handing over ceremony of the floating trophy to the champions, the sponsor of the competition, Mr Sydney Kharivhe stated that he was impressed by the way the competition was run. He was quick to mention that the sponsorship will continue in future.
According to him the sponsorship will increase remarkably. Mr Kharivhe further stated that he has recruited a number of local businessmen who will join hands with him towards the increment and success of the sponsorship in future.
This year's competition was sponsored to the tune of R15000. The champions of the competition, Tshifudi XI Experience became R1500 richer apart from the floating trophy, which they had received. The second placed team, Gooldville Young Tigers was given an amount of R1 000.
Makwarani Frelimo Boys who finished the competition in the third spot were given an amount of R900 while Ngwenani Manchester took home a cheque to the value of R800. The teams that were booted out in the top eight stage of the competition were each given an amount of R500. The competition was organised by Messrs MS Matshusa, MR Mphaphuli and FA Nedzingahe.
Frank is a Human Resources Manager at the Department of Public Works in Limpopo. He is the longest serving correspondent of the Mirror, having joined us at the end of 1990.
