THOHOYANDOU – The former managing director of the defunct Rabali Blackpool Football Club and chairman of the then Dynamos Football Club, Mr Peter Rabali has appealed to all residents of the Limpopo Province to join hands towards the success of Black Leopards Football Club.
He stated that he has noted with great concern and disappointment that the pride of the Far North, Lidoda duvha are on the brink of catastrophe. With eight matches left before the end of the season, Rabali is still confident that the team will escape relegation. "It is now time for the people of Limpopo to forget about their personal differences and work together towards saving the team. Rabali sees the relegation of the club as a great loss not only to its owners but to the entire Limpopo Province as well.
He reiterated the fact that the presence of the club in Thohoyandou is a big economic boost for Thohoyandou and the surrounding towns. He appealed to people who feel that the team is not being run in a proper manner to come forward with their ideas, instead of criticising from a distance. He said that everybody stands to gain from the presence of the club in Thohoyandou.
He stated that the death of Ria Stars Football Club was a big loss to the province and that it would be a double blow if Leopards were relegated to the lower division. He again appealed to members of the public to attend the team's remaining home matches in their thousands, saying that this would boost the players' morale. Five of Leopards' remaining eight games will be played at the Thohoyandou Stadium.
