Money for Giyani District Football clubs

GIYANI – Cash prizes amounting to R22 500 were distributed among the clubs that were affiliated to the Giyani District Football Association last season during a ceremony that was held at the Giyani Multi-Purpose Hall on Sunday.

The champions in Stream A, Manchester United took home an amount of R3 000. The second placed Percy All Stars were given an amount of R2 000 during the ceremony. An amount of R1 400 was given to an official from One Nation Football Club.

The club that finished the league programme on the fourth spot, Bucs XI received a cheque to the value of R800. Dangerous Tigers, Black Professionals and Golden City were each given cash prizes amounting to R500.

The remaining four clubs, Peace Makers, Dianna Ross, Hot Spurs and Gladiators received consolation prizes of R400 each. The total amount of money that was given to the Stream A clubs was R10 300.

In Stream B the club that received the biggest cheque was Killers. Naughty Boys, Amagaza, Young Chiefs and SJJ Chief Defenders Football Club followed them. The prizes for the first three clubs were similar to those of Stream A while Young Chiefs took home a cheque to the value of R1000.

The prizes for the Giyani Spar Top 8 KO competition were also dished out to the winning clubs during the ceremony. During the ceremony the Managing Director of Giyani Spar Supermarket Mr Peet Snyman revealed that he would increase the sponsorship next season. According to him his aim is to see Giyani District Football Association expanding its development capacity.
