Leopards to face Garankuwa United

Sport  Date: 13 February 2015

This weekend will be another busy one for the affiliates of the National First Division League (NFD). Five matches will be played tomorrow afternoon and the remaining three will be staged on Sunday.

Black Leopards will travel to Pretoria tomorrow afternoon. They will clash with Garankuwa United at the Lucas Moripe Stadium. Leopards’ newly appointed coach, Mr Zeca Marques, is adamant nothing will stop his side from collecting maximum points in the match. He indicated that he had told his charges that the only thing that would see them gain promotion to the elite division at the end of the season was to win all their remaining matches.

Leopards and United played to a 1-1 draw at the Thohoyandou Stadium in their first-round league match five months ago.

Also tomorrow afternoon, the pace setters, Jomo Cosmos, will entertain Milano United at the Vaal University of Technology Stadium. Both Milano and Cosmos are close contenders for the league title.

Witbank Spurs will host Highlandspark at the Puma Rugby Stadium in Witbank. The Maluti FET College must beat Royal Eagles in order to keep their hopes for surviving the relegation axe alive. They will meet at the Charles Mopedi Stadium in Phuthaditshaba.

African Warriors will travel to Cape Town on Sunday. They will wrestle for points with Santos at the Athlone Stadium.

Vasco da Gama and Thanda Royal Zulu will test each other’s strength at the Parow Park Stadium in Cape Town. The fact that Vasco are a tough side to beat at home, while Thanda are good travelers, will make the game a thriller.

Baroka will play against Cape Town All Stars at the Cape Town Stadium.
