Ebenezer Mile to attract a lot of support

TZANEEN – The Rotary Club of Haenertsburg’s charity event, the annual Ebenezer Mile Open Swim, once again looks set to attract a lot of support.
The Ebenezer Mile Open Swim will be held on Sunday, March 20, at the yacht club at the Ebenezer Dam. There will be four events this year, the first one starting at 09:00. Line registration opens at 07:00. Early bird entry fees (by March 9 to Haenertsburg Rotary Club) and online entries are R55 per swimmer. Pre-race entries are recommended. The entry fees after March and up to and including race day will be R85.

There are medals, cash prizes and a variety of sponsors’ giveaways for participants and win-ners. Food stalls, refreshments and a bar will also be available.

Andries joined the Zoutpansberger and Limpopo Mirror in April 1993 as a darkroom assistant. Within a couple of months he moved over to the production side of the newspaper and eventually doubled as a reporter. In 1995 he left the newspaper group and travelled overseas for a couple of months. In 1996, Andries rejoined the Zoutpansberger as a reporter. In August 2002, he was appointed as News Editor of the Zoutpansberger, a position he holds until today.
